Need to quickly get feedback or answers to a question? Microsoft has added a quick poll feature, powered by Microsoft Forms, to both the Outlook client and Outlook Online. Here’s how it works. The built-in poll feature, like the Quick Poll add-in, is only available for Office 365 and Microsoft 365. If you’re using a stand-alone version of Outlook such as Outlook 2016 or 2019, the poll option won’t be available to you.

A poll can be answered by anyone, no matter who provides their email. They don’t need a Microsoft, Office 365, or Microsoft 365 account, just a web browser and an internet connection. As such, it’s a much more complete solution than the old voting options.

Beginning with the October 2020 update, Windows 10 can now show your Microsoft Edge browser tabs as separate entries with thumbnails in the Alt+Tab switcher. By default, it shows the five most recent tabs. Here’s how you can show all of them.

You’ll have to use Microsoft Edge if you want browser tabs in your Alt+Tab switcher. As of October 2020, this doesn’t work in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The good news is that the new Microsoft Edge is based on Chromium and is very similar to Google Chrome.

If your iPhone or iPad runs iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 or higher, you have access to a new Inline replies feature which allows you to create threads from a message.

When you create a thread, others can reply to it, as well. This way, a single conversation can be tracked in a single thread.

To get started, open the Messages app on your iPhone or iPad and go to a group conversation. Find a message to which you want to send an Inline reply, and then tap and hold it.
