How to clear Microsoft Teams cache to fix Common Issues

If Microsoft Teams starts acting weird — like not loading messages, stuck status, or login problems — clearing the cache often solves it.

Completely close Teams
Right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar (bottom right corner of the screen) and select Quit.

Open the Run dialog box
Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
Enter the Teams cache folder path
Copy and paste the following into the Run box and press Enter:

```
Delete all the contents of this folder
Once the folder opens, press Ctrl + A to select everything, then press Delete.(Don’t worry — this only deletes cached data. Your messages, chats, and settings are saved online and won’t be lost.)
Restart Teams
Open Microsoft Teams again. It will rebuild its cache and usually fix the problem.
