Situatie
The alertlog is the most important log of a database, where all the information related to the oracle database is entered. If you have no idea where this file is located, you can use the following procedure:
Solutie
- We log on to the oracle database as sysdba.
- For decent formatting, use the following commands: – “set lines 200” >>> Format to list 200 characters – “col value format a100” >>> The value column should contain 100 characters – “select value from v$diag_info”
And we will use the path marked with yellow in the center to locate the alertlog.
- I navigated in the directory marked in the highlighted path
- I listed the directories using a filter by the word “alert”. I interactively listed the last 22 lines from the “alert_DBAGRID.log” file.
