By default, the printer automatically acquires a network address from a DHCP server. To assign a static IP address, perform the following steps.
To set up a static IPv4 network address:
- Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen.
- Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
- Select [Connectivity and Network Setup], and then select [Protocol Settings].NOTE: If the Connectivity and Network Setup option is not displayed, it is required to login as a System Administrator to complete this solution. See the Related Content for additional information.
- Select [IPv4 – IP Address Resolution], and then select [Change Settings].
- Select [Static], and then select the [Save] button.
- Select [IPv4 – IP Address], and then select [Change Settings].
- Enter a valid IP address using the keypad on the Touch Screen, and then select the [Save] button.
- Select [IPv4 – Subnet Mask], and then select [Change Settings].
- Enter a valid subnet mask using the keypad on the Touch Screen, and then select the [Save] button.
- Select [IPv4 – Gateway Mask], and then select [Change Settings].
- Enter a valid gateway address using the numeric keypad on the Touch Screen, and then select the [Save] button.
- If necessary, press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel and then select [Logout] on the Touch Screen to exit the System Administrator mode.
To set up a static IPv6 network address:
- Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen.
- Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
- Select [Connectivity and Network Setup], and then select [Protocol Settings].NOTE: If the Connectivity and Network Setup option is not displayed, it is required to login as a System Administrator to complete this solution. See the Related Content for additional information.
- Select [Enabled], and then select the [Save] button.
- Select [Manually Configured IPv6 Address], and then select [Change Settings].
- Enter a valid IP address using the keypad on the Touch Screen, and then select the [Save] button.
- Select [Manually Configured IPv6 Address Prefix], and then select [Change Settings].
- Enter the prefix using the keypad on the Touch Screen, and then select the [Save] button.
- Select [Manually Configured IPv6 Address Gateway], and then select [Change Settings].
- Enter the gateway address using the keypad on the Touch Screen, and then select the [Save] button.
- If necessary, press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel and then select [Logout] on the Touch Screen to exit the System Administrator mode.

Fault Code 027-452 occurs when another device has been detected on the network using the same IP Address as the Xerox Device.
- Log into the machine as a System Administrator.
- Press the Log In/Out button on the Control Panel.
- Enter the System Administrator username and press Enter.
- Enter the System Administrator password and press Enter.NOTE: The default user is admin and the default password is 1111.
- Press the Machine Status button on the Control Panel.
- Select the Tools tab on the Touch Screen.
- Select System Settings
- Select Connectivity and Network Setup.
- Select Protocols Settings.
- Select IPv4 Address Resolution, and then select the Change Settings button.
- Select DHCP.
- Select Save.
- Press Log out. A prompt to reboot the machine will be displayed. Reboot the machine.NOTE: If the prompt to reboot the machine is not displayed, manually power the machine off and on.
