BIOS Recovery mode has been detected

If your computer shows Warning! BIOS Recovery mode has been detected message when you turn it on, and you cannot boot into Windows, the solutions provided in this article will help you. This error message is associated with computers with ASUS motherboards.

BIOS Recovery mode has been detected.

Please put the file “PX570P.CAP” into HDD or a removable USB media device, and then reset your computer. You can also insert ASUS Support CD to your CD-ROM and reset your computer. Once you have done this, please wait for a moment and don’t shutdown system!?? The system will automatically reboot.

What is this mentioned CAP file?

The PX570P.CAP is a BIOS recovery file used by ASUS motherboards. Depending on your ASUS motherboard, your system requires a different CAP file. Therefore, you may see a different file name in the BIOS recovery mode error message, such as TGX570P.CAP is the BIOS update file for TUF Gaming X570-Plus ASUS motherboards, SX470FG.CAP is the BIOS update file for ASUS ROG XTRIX X470-F Gaming motherboards, X299E3.CAP is the BIOS update file for ASUS Prime X299 Edition motherboards, etc.

How to find the required CAP file?

The required CAP file is present in the BIOS update package available on the official website of ASUS. You just have to download the right BIOS update file for your computer motherboard from the official website of ASUS. Once you download the BIOS update file, extract the file and open the extracted folder. It contains two files, one is the CAP file and the other is the Renamer file. When you run the Renamer file as an administrator, it automatically renames the CAP file to the one required by your motherboard to recover BIOS.
