Set your mindspring.com email in outlook using imap settings.
Solutie
First,open outlook.Click the File button on the top left of the screen to open the menu.You will see a button named + Add Account. Click it and a new tab will appear on the screen.
Enter your email in the email box and click on advanced options and check the option saying let me set up my account manually and then click connect.
- Select the IMAP method when you are asked how you want to set the account.
- Next another window will come up:
- For the incoming sever type: imap.earthlink.net ,in the port tab type 143 and the for the encryption method select “none”
- For the outgoing server type: smtpauth.earthlink.net ,in the port tab type 587 and for the encryption method select STARTLS.
- Click connect and afterward you have to enter your email password then connect once more.
