Default BIOS settings that set back you PC’s performance

I’ll showcase an MSI bios:

1.Enable your XMP

Now,if you’ve purchased a very fast RAM,you HAVE to turn XMP on(MSI has made this quite simple, just click on the “XMP profile 1”)

The yellow pointing arrow shows the speed that the RAM will run at with XMP turned on.

2.Turn on NVME CPU lanes :Go ahead and enter the Advanced settings tab(F7)

NOTE In order to avoid damaging your system DO NOT change any voltage setting, also, every setting is reversible (easiest way is to unplug the bios battery from the motherboard).

Enter the settings tab

Advanced

In this case,enter PCIe

and finally PCIe lanes source

Select CPU,This will ensure the maximum speed for the Nvme.

3 must know Windows tricks

Here are my top 3 windows tricks that help me go through long sessions at the pc:

1.Turn on Night Light

What this feature does is that it removes all the blue light from your screen which is a big reason behind why we remain awake late at night. To enable Night Light, go to Settings -> System -> Display, and turn on the toggle next to Night Light.

2.Turn on Dynamic Lock

When turned on, this feature will automatically lock your system whenever you walk away from your work-desk. Basically, the feature uses Bluetooth connection with your phone to determine if you are near it or not.You can enable this feature by going to Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in Option and turning on the “Dynamic Lock” feature.

3.Enable Dark mode

What I love about the dark mode here is that it’s truly dark so you are not getting that dark gray color which you generally see on other operating systems. Also, since this is a system enabled dark mode, all your navigation panels in every app, including Settings, File Explorer, and more turn to dark mode.To enable dark mode go to Settings -> Personalization -> Colors and scroll down and enable the dark mode.
