How to create AI-Generated Images in Microsoft Paint on Windows 11

With the latest version of Windows 11, Microsoft Paint has been upgraded with an AI-powered tool called Cocreator, which allows you to generate images based on simple text descriptions. Here’s how you can use this feature:

Step 1: Open Microsoft Paint

  1. Ensure you have the latest version of Windows 11 installed on your computer.
  2. Open Microsoft Paint by searching for it in the Start menu.

Step 2: Access the AI Cocreator Tool

  1. In the Paint interface, locate the new Cocreator section in the sidebar. This is the AI tool that will help you generate images.
  2. Click on Cocreator to open the panel where you can start creating your image.

Step 3: Describe Your Image

  1. In the Cocreator panel, type a detailed description of the image you want to create. For example, you could write something like: “A mountain landscape at sunset with a lake in the foreground.”
  2. Choose a style for the image. Cocreator offers several options, such as:
    • Photorealistic
    • Watercolor
    • Ink Sketch
    • Oil Painting
    • Pixel Art
    • Anime

Select the style that best suits your creative vision.

Step 4: Generate the Image

  1. Once you’ve described the image and selected a style, click the Create button located at the bottom-right corner of the Cocreator panel.
  2. The AI will generate multiple image variants based on your description. You will see these in the Explore Variants section.

Step 5: Choose and Edit the Image

  1. Browse through the AI-generated variants and select the one you like the most by clicking on it.
  2. The image will load onto the Paint canvas, where you can further edit it using Paint’s traditional tools such as brushes, shapes, colors, and text.

Step 6: Save Your Image

  1. Once you are satisfied with the image, click on File > Save As and choose your preferred format (PNG, JPEG, BMP, etc.) to save the final result to your computer.
  2. You can also save multiple variants by clicking the More (…) button on each generated image and selecting Save Image.

How to remove the Background from a Photo directly on iPhone using Built-in iOS Features

If you have an iPhone running iOS 16 or later, you can easily remove the background from a photo without any external apps.

1. Using the Photos App in iOS 16 or Later

iOS 16 introduced a built-in feature that allows you to automatically remove the background from an image, making the process quick and easy:

  1. Open the Photos app and find the photo you want to edit.
  2. Press and hold on the main subject in the photo (a person, object, or animal). The iPhone will automatically detect and highlight the subject, separating it from the background.
  3. Automatic subject cutout: Once the subject is highlighted, you’ll see a small menu appear with the option to “Copy” or “Share” the cut-out subject. Tap Copy to extract the subject without the background.
  4. Paste or use the cutout: You can now paste the subject without the background into any app that supports images, like Notes, Messages, or even a photo editing app.

2. Using the Files App for Further Editing

After copying the subject, you can use the Files app to save or edit the image further:

  1. Open the Files app and create a new document or folder where you want to store the cut-out image.
  2. Paste the image: Long-press in the document or folder and select “Paste” to insert the image with the background removed.
  3. You can now share, move, or further edit the image as needed.
