Open your document in PDF Xchange then locate the Ribbon Toolbar at the top of the window. Click on the “Convert” tab in the Ribbon Toolbar. In the submenu that appears, click on “OCR Page(s)”.
A new window will pop-up.
Here are the page range options available:
- Select All: This option will perform OCR on all the pages of the document.
- Select Current Page: This option will perform OCR only on the currently visible page.
- Use Selected Pages: This option allows you to perform OCR only on the pages you have pre-selected from the Thumbnails pane.
- Pages Box: Use this box to manually enter specific pages or ranges of pages for OCR processing. For example, you might enter “1, 3-5, 7” to OCR pages 1, 3 through 5, and 7.
- Subset Option: This allows you to further refine your selection by choosing:
- All Pages: Performs OCR on all the pages within the specified range.
- Odd Pages Only: Performs OCR only on the odd-numbered pages within the specified range.
- Even Pages Only: Performs OCR only on the even-numbered pages within the specified range.
After selecting your desired page range options for OCR (Optical Character Recognition), complete the process by clicking OK. This will start the OCR process on the selected pages of your document. By clicking “OK,” the software will convert the scanned text or images into editable text, based on the page range settings you have configured.
