By default, the Windows 10 desktop icons have a drop shadow around the labels that makes the icon labels blurry and difficult to read.

1.Hold down the Windows icon on your keyboard and press the Pause/Break.

2. In the System window, click Advanced System Settings on the right side of the screen.

3. In the System Properties window, on the Advanced tab, click Settings in the Performance section.

4. In the Performance Options window, on the Visual Effects tab, uncheck Use drop shadows icon for labels on the desktop.

5. Click Apply.
