Most home routers are poorly secured by default.

Solutie

  1. Change router admin credentials

    • Never use default username/password

  2. Update router firmware

    • Fixes vulnerabilities and bugs

  3. Disable WPS

    • Common attack vector

  4. Change DNS servers

    • Use Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google DNS

  5. Create a guest network

    • Isolate visitor devices

  6. Enable WPA3 or WPA2-AES

    • Avoid WPA or TKIP

  7. Monitor connected devices

    • Remove unknown devices immediately

 Result: protection against common Wi-Fi attacks.
