How to secure your Gmail Account in 10 minutes

Change your password
- Use a long password (12+ characters)
- Mix letters, numbers, and symbols
Enable 2-Step Verification
- Go to Google Account → Security
- Enable 2-Step Verification
- Use an authenticator app instead of SMS if possible
Check recent activity
- Scroll to Recent security activity
- Remove unknown devices or locations
Review third-party access
- Remove apps you don’t recognize or no longer use
Set recovery options
- Add a recovery phone number and email
