How to skip Microsoft account during Windows 11 install by disabling account screens

To create a local account during the Windows 11 OOBE, follow these steps:

1. Open Command Prompt using the “Shift + F10” keyboard shortcut to open Command Prompt.

2. Type the following command to launch the local account creation screen and press Enter:

reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OOBE /v HideOnlineAccountScreens /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

3. Close the Command Prompt console

4. Choose your region setting

5. Click the Yes button

6. Select your keyboard layout setting

7. Click the Yes button

8. Click the Skip button if you do not need to configure a second layout

9. Click the Next button

10. Confirm the name of the local default account on Windows 11

11. Click the Next button

12. Create a password for the account

13. Click the Next button

14. Confirm the account password

15. Click the Next button

16. Select and complete the three security questions to recover the account

17. Click the Next button

18. Choose the privacy settings

19. Click the Next button

20. Click the Next button again

21. Click the Accept button.

Once you complete the steps, the setup will complete the configuration, and you will be presented with the Windows 11 desktop.
