How to view people in Google Meet on your PC

You have the ability to adjust the number of participants displayed on your screen during video meetings. This customization is automatically saved for future meetings.

Join a video meeting on your computer.

At the bottom of the screen, click on “More options” button and then select “Change layout” from the menu.

Choose your preferred layout option:

“Auto” lets Meet decide the layout for you, usually displaying up to 9 tiles.
“Tiled” allows you to see up to 49 participants simultaneously, with 16 tiles by default.
“Spotlight”: The active speaker or shared screen fills the entire window.
“Sidebar”: The main image is the active speaker or shared screen. You’ll see thumbnails of additional participants on the side.

Move the slider at the bottom to adjust the number of tiles you want to see on your screen. Your selection will become the default for future meetings.
