In the situation that the OneDrive folder is missing from Windows Explorer, the following solutions can resolve the issue at hand.

- Restart the computer
Most of the time restarting the computer is the quickest way to check if there is an issue with the session, thus rebooting the system should always be the first step to try.
Reset OneDrive
- Press Win+R Keys to open the Run window, then type the following command in the Run window:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
- If after running this command you receive an error such as “Windows cannot find…”, try running the following two commands:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
At this point, after the reset is finished you can start Microsoft Onedrive.
Uninstall and reinstall Onedrive
- Should the former steps fail to provide results, consider uninstalling OneDrive and then reinstalling it.
- Press Win+R Keys to open the Run window and write “Control Panel”. In the Control Panel window click on Programs > Uninstall a program and then search for Microsoft Onedrive, right click on it and click Uninstall.
- After uninstalling Onedrive, open Office.com to reinstall Microsoft OneDrive.
Registry fix
Press Win+R to open the Run window and type the command REGEDIT. Hit Enter to open the Registry Editor window.
- In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
- Right-click on the Windows key and select New > Key.
- Name the key OneDrive and save it.
- In the right pane, right-click in the open space and select New > DWORD (32 bit).
- Name the DWORD entry DisableFileSyncNGSC.
- Double-click on DisableFileSyncNGSC to open its properties.
- Change the Value Data of the entry to 0. Click on OK to save the settings.
