Situatie
If you are unable to type in the search box from your taskbar, it is possible the task for search is either disabled or missing from your Task Scheduler. In the steps below you will see how to enable it or what to do if the task is missing from your Task Scheduler.
Solutie
1. Press Windows key + R and type taskschd.msc, to open Task Scheduler.
2. In Task Scheduler, expand Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows and scroll down until you find TextServicesFramework then click on it.
3. In TextServicesFramework, right-click on MsCtfMonitor and select Enable
– If the MSCtfMonitor is missing from your Task Scheduler proceed with the next steps.
4. Press Windows key + R and type regedit to open Registry Editor.
5. In Registry Editor go to the next path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
6. Right-click on Run and select New > String Value.
7. Name the String Value ctfmon, then double click on it and add C:\Windows\System32\ctfmon.exe at Value data, and press OK.
8. Restart the computer.
