Use Case: You want to track all computers, printers, software, and warranties in your office.

Steps:

Install GLPI (Open Source Asset Manager)
- Install via Docker or directly on LAMP stack.
- URL: https://glpi-project.org
Install FusionInventory Agent on Client PCs
- Windows: MSI installer
- Linux:
  
  sudo apt install fusioninventory-agent
Connect Agents to the GLPI Server
- Set the GLPI server URL in agent config files.
- Schedule periodic scans (e.g. every 24h)
Auto-Discover Network Devices
- Use SNMP scans to find printers, switches, etc.
Enable Software License Tracking and Ticketing

Now you have a free asset management system with live data from your network.
