Access Modem Settings
Overwhelmingly, today’s modems include built-in wireless networking, and if you have this, you can access your settings page on any device connected to your home network. If you don’t have wireless networking, you will need to use a computer with a wired connection to your network.
Before you open up a web browser to go to your modem’s settings page, you’ll need to have your sign-in information handy. If you haven’t otherwise changed your modem’s login info, it will be the default unless your ISP changed it. In that case, your sign-in info will likely be on your modem or the paperwork from your ISP.
To find your default login information, you will need to search for your modem’s information online. Usually, it’s a combination of “admin” for the username and “password” for the password.
