On a company-owned computer you may have seen a legal notice displayed before you sign in to Windows. Here’s how you can do the same thing on your own computer and display a message with any text you want.

Click on Search or Windows icon and search for Registry Editor.
In the Registry Editor navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Double click on “legalnoticecaption”.
Type the title of your message and click “OK”
Double click on “legalnoticetext”
Type your message and click “OK”
Restart your computer and you will see the message before you sign in.
