Open Registry Editor.

Under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft EdgeWebView] change the value of SystemComponent to 0.

  • From the Start Menu, open Add or remove programs under Control Panel
  • Search for Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
  • Click on the three dots and select Modify then Yes in the popup
  • Click Repair.
