If by “cycle of laptop battery” you mean the battery cycle count (how many full charge-discharge cycles the battery has gone through), here’s how to check it:
Solutie
Windows
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
-
Run:
powercfg /batteryreport -
Windows will generate a report, usually at:
C:\Users\YourUsername\battery-report.html - Open the HTML file in your browser.
- Look for Battery capacity history and Cycle count (if your laptop reports it).
macOS
- Hold Option and click the Apple menu.
- Select System Information.
- Under Hardware, click Power.
- Find Cycle Count under the battery information.
Linux
Open a terminal and run:
upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT0
or
cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/cycle_count
(depending on your distribution and hardware support).
What the cycle count means
- 0–300 cycles: Battery is generally in very good condition
- 300–800 cycles: Normal wear
- 800+ cycles: Capacity may be noticeably reduced
- Many modern laptop batteries are designed for 500–1000+ cycles before dropping to around 80% of original capacity.
