If when you log into your PC NUM lock is turned off on the logon screen, you can follow these steps to fix this and have numlock enabled by default.

Click on the Start Button and type in regedit and hit Enter.

Navigate to Computer\HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard

  • Right click on InitialKeyboardIndicators and select Modify.
  • Set the value to 2147483650 and click OK.
