Situatie

You get the next error: “Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action” when trying to open XLS/XLSX files and then the screen freezes for 1 minute.

If this solution does not work than try this.

Solutie

Pasi de urmat

Run Registry Editor as Admin

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Excel\AddIns and look for installed Add-ins

Go to the specific Addin folder and modify the LoadBehavior DWORD value from 3 to 1 (1 being load but not automatically when Excel starts)
