Just like the iPhone, the Apple Watch can be turned off using the Side button. First, raise your wrist to wake the Apple Watch. Next, press and hold the Side button.
After holding the side button, you will see several options, including “Medical ID” and “Compass Backtrack.” In the top-right corner, tap the On/Off symbol to reveal the “Power Off” slider. Swipe your finger left to right on top of the power icon to shut off your Apple Watch.
The process of turning your Apple Watch back on is quite simple. First, make sure that the Apple Watch has enough battery to turn on. Place it on the charger for at least 10 minutes to quickly add juice to the battery if you’re unsure.
Next, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo appear on-screen. It might take around five seconds.
That’s it. You have now turned on your Apple Watch. You’ll just need to enter your passcode again once the watch has powered up again.
If your Apple Watch is frozen or unresponsive, you might not be able to access the Power Off menu. Instead, you’ll need to force-restart your Apple Watch. To do that, hold the Digital Crown and Side button at the same time until the watch restarts. It might take around 10 seconds.
