After installing Windows 11, the computer boots very slowly and some applications take a long time to open. Additionally, the system uses a large amount of RAM immediately after startup.

Solutie

To optimize Windows 11 startup and reduce RAM and CPU usage, follow the steps below:

1. Disable startup applications

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

  2. Go to the Startup apps tab

  3. Disable applications that are not necessary at system startup (for example: game launchers, chat apps, auto-updaters).

2. Disable background applications

  1. Open SettingsAppsInstalled apps

  2. Select an application

  3. Click Advanced options

  4. Under Background app permissions, choose Never.

3. Enable Fast Startup

  1. Open Control Panel

  2. Go to Power Options

  3. Click Choose what the power buttons do

  4. Enable Turn on fast startup (recommended).

  5. Save the changes.

4. Remove temporary files

  1. Open SettingsSystemStorage

  2. Click Temporary files

  3. Select unnecessary files and click Remove files.

5. Update Windows and drivers

  1. Open SettingsWindows Update

  2. Click Check for updates

  3. Install all available updates, including driver updates.
