The Windows Package Manager is a tool that allows you to search, install, and update apps on your computer through command lines without having to go through the extra steps of searching online, downloading, and installing multiple apps manually.

In previous versions, once you installed your preferred web browsing application, you would get an option to switch and make it the default with one click, but that’s no longer the case. Microsoft is more aggressive on Windows 11 to keep you from making Chrome, Firefox, or another browser the system default. However, if Edge isn’t for you, it’s not impossible to change the default browser on Windows 11. You will only need to go through some extra steps.
